Whether through advocacy or on-the-ground service, we are committed to creating a more just world. Poverty, climate justice, civil rights, and access to healthcare and education are among our top priorities as citizens of Planet Earth. We invite you to read our stories and learn about how we’re working to bring about change through our daily ministries, and how you can join us in spreading hope through justice.
Welcome to ophope.org! We are the Dominican Sisters of Hope: 160+ Catholic Dominican sisters who are committed to living and preaching the gospel message of hope. Founded in 1995 from three communities in Newburgh, NY, Fall River, MA, and Ossining, NY, we now live in fifteen states and Puerto Rico where we serve largely in justice, social, healthcare, and education ministries. Always dynamic, we are everything from Executive Directors of homeless shelters to physical education teachers to published authors. We’re excited to share with you the ways we bring hope to it all.
